It will be our pleasure to welcome you in Montreal at the 16th International Conference that will take place at the Hotel Bonaventure, Montreal, Canada from July 6 to 8, 2016. The theme of the conference is

The Schumpeter Conference is a major event for social scientists interested in Neo-Schumpeterian themes such as the economics of innovation and economic development and trying to build a credible response to neoclassical economics with the contribution of different compatible theoretical currents such as behavioural, ecological and post-Keynesian economics, system dynamics, agent-based models and innovation management, among others.
Montreal is one of the cities with the highest quality of life in the world, and Canada is number one on this regard (World Economic Forum, 2015).
We wish to see you all in Montreal next July at the Schumpeter Society Conference.

Call for Papers
The Conference is open to submissions that deal with theoretical, methodological, empirical, and policy issues with a broad Evolutionary or Neo-Schumpeterian focus. The Conference is open to submissions that deal with theoretical, methodological, empirical, and policy issues with a broad Evolutionary or Neo-Schumpeterian focus. We would like to encourage submissions especially in the following priority areas:
1.Innovation systems
2.Innovation policy
3.Long term economic development
4.Agent based models of innovation networks
5.On Complexity Economics
6.Innovation and entrepreneurship
7.Science and innovation
8.Heterodox approaches compatible with Neo-Schumpeterian economics
In addition, we encourage researchers to offer proposals for parallel sessions on other topics of contemporary interest and to coordinate paper submissions for these sessions. Of course, there is no guarantee that such proposals will be included in the program.
Submission
Electronic abstract submission at www.schumpeter-conference-montreal.cais requested. Abstracts (800 words) have to be submitted in English. The decision of paper acceptance will be given before 31 March 2016.
Final versionof the accepted papers must be provided before 30 June 2016. Papers not accepted for oral presentation at the conference may be accepted for presentation in a poster session.
Posters
All Posters will be considered for the ISS 2016 Best Poster Award and all papers written by doctoral students only are in competition for the ISS 2016 Doctoral Student Best Paper Award. Additional information can be found on the Conference website.

Schumpeter Prize Competition 2016
Schumpeter Prize Competition 2016 on Building Bridges with heterodox economic currents The International Joseph A. Schumpeter Society is pleased to announce the 15th Schumpeter Prize Competition. The Prize is awarded every two years in recognition of a recent scholarly contribution related to Schumpeter ¢¥s work. It carries a cash award of C$15,000 (10,000 Euros). Submissions must not have been published before 1 July 2014 and can be in the form of a book/manuscript or article/paper. A list of previous Prize winners is provided at the ISS main website. Schumpeter Prize entries must be postmarked no later than 10 March 2016. They must be sent to the president of the Prize Committee:
