Dear Colleagues,

The deadline for the Call for Papers has been extended. Submissions for the conference are now due on the 7th July 2016. Please make your submissions at https://k-convention.kijima-p.co.jp/apic2016/

We also welcome proposals for a themed session. More information can be found here: http://ap-ic.org/2016-call-for-papers/

The 7th Asia Pacific Innovation Conference will be held on the 18th to 20th November 2016 in Fukuoka Japan. For the first time in APIC history, the theme is Energy and Innovation. However, we welcome all research related to innovation, as always.

Topics of Interest

Innovation, disruptive creation, and the path to the future continue to be interdisciplinary in practice and research. Continuing with the APIC tradition, we look forward to the participation of researchers in fields such as economics, law, engineering, design, and others, practitioners, and private and public sectors who deal with innovation. In terms of technology, there will be a special focus on energy.

The scope of the conference topics include:
•Innovation policy including basic research, applied research and implementation of innovation;
•Intellectual property to promote innovation;

•Market design and pricing to promote alternative energy and other innovations;
•Social innovation;
•Standards and intellectual property challenges related to alternative energy and other new technologies;
•Lessons in history regarding innovation and new energy;
•Risk management associated with energy and other new technologies; and
•Legal and other social institutions.
