[Call for paper] "IWcee17 - V INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL ECONOMICS

Dear Colleague:
It is a pleasure to announce the call-for-paper (abstract first) for participating to the
"IWcee17 - V INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON COMPUTATIONAL ECONOMICS AND
ECONOMETRICS"
that will be held in Rome, June 21-23, 2017 at the National Research Council of Italy.
IWcee17 main topic this year will be:
“DYNAMICS OF GROWTH, INEQUALITY AND TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGE: MICRO AND MACRO PERSPECTIVES”
In the last two decades, economic systems have experienced unprecedented changes. The upsurge of emergent markets and technologies, the increasing sophistication of financial markets and trade, a rising fragmentation of the global division of labor, and the growth of inequality have changed the way economies work and evolve. In such a scenario, the 2007 economic crisis has proved to have had a great impact on these transformations, showing at the same time system unexpected fragility. The study of such phenomena – both at micro and macro level – asks for new evidence, sounder theoretical underpinnings, and reliable statistical techniques. IWcee17 aims to provide a rigorous scientific discussion about the evolution and performance of socio-economic systems in the light of the tools offered by modern quantitative socio-economic science.
Papers on the following topics are highly welcome:
Theoretical, empirical and computational models of growth, inequality and technological change; Propagation mechanisms in interrelated systems; New evidence and indicators of inequality; Network (including input-output tables) dynamics and resilience; Agent-based and game-theory modelling; Risk and uncertainty analysis; Modelling of financial systems; Time series analysis and forecasting techniques; Micro and macro models of technical change; Policy evaluation; Big Data analysis
The best papers presented at the workshop will be published in a SPECIAL ISSUE of the "INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF COMPUTATIONAL ECONOMICS AND ECONOMETRICS” (IJCEE).

THE DEADLINE FOR EXTENDED ABSTRACT submission is: APRIL 15, 2017.
