Subject [Call for Proposal] EMAEE 2019
Contents We are pleased to announce that the call for papers for the 2019
edition of the EMAEE is now open (please see attached), and will close on March 1st 2019.
EMAEE19 will be hosted by SPRU – the Science Policy Research Unit, at the University of Sussex Business School.
Please feel free to circulate the call in your network. Details in the
attached and EMAEE19 website.
The EMAEE19¡¯s theme is the economics, governance and management of artificial intelligence (AI), robotisation and digital
transformations. The conference aims to bring together research on the opportunities and challenges arising from AI and digital
transformations, particularly to achieve the Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs) and deal with related societal challenges.

Registration Fees
The conference has no fees, to encourage participation of PhD students and early career scholars. Lunch, coffee breaks and the social dinner will be covered by the host organization. Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation and other dinners (see INET scholarships for PhD students).
Related Events
The conference will be followed by an INET Young Scholars Initiative on the 6th of June to continue the debate with PhD students and senior academics.
Speakers also have an opportunity to attend CogX 2019 the Festival of AI and Emerging Technology which will take place in London June 8-12, and which focuses on aligned themes around AI the SDGs.

• The International J.A. Schumpeter Society offers a prize of ¢æ 1,000 for the best paper on innovation related to the conference topics
• The European Association for Evolutionary Political Economy (EAEPE) offers a prize of 1000¢æ for the best paper on the political economy related to the conference topics.
