CISS-COMPETITION AND INNOVATION SUMMER SCHOOL
27-31 MAY 2019, ULCINJ
(MONTENEGRO)
This summer school offers young researchers in the fields of innovation and competition economics the opportunity to discuss their dissertation projects in great detail within a group of experienced and renowned scholars, as well as other PhD students and postdoctoral researchers, in an inspiring environment.
SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME
The programme of the summer school features lectures that provide students with a detailed understanding of current topics of innovation, the economics of science and intellectual property rights, empirical competition analysis, and contemporary issues surrounding theories of industrial organization.
Students¡¯ presentations as well as workshops on research methodologies will take place in the
afternoon.

Registration fee: The registration fee is 500 euros and covers accommodation (single or double room),
lunch and dinner expenses, access to lectures and workshops, and materials distributed to participants. Travel and other expenses are not included. Complimentary transportation from/to the airport
to/from the venue will be provided on arrival (Sunday, 26 May) and departure (Saturday, 1 June) days.
CISS will take place at Velika Plaža (Long Beach) in Ulcinj, Montenegro. This sandy beach is 12 kilometres
long, making it the longest beach in Montenegro and one of the longest in Europe. Lectures will
take place at Otrant Hotel – Beach Resort; students are accommodated directly next to the venue
(Panorama Hotel). The venue can be reached via Podgorica or Tivat airport. For further information on
