October 5-6, 2020 at:
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
www.nist.gov
Gaithersburg, MD USA
Those individuals wishing to present papers at the annual conference should submit by email a detailed abstract to both Professor Don Siege(Donald.Siegel.1@asu.edu) and Professor Al Link (anlink@uncg.edu) not later than June 1, 2020. The Scientific Committee will begin to review abstracts on June 8, and authors of accepted abstracts will be notified not later than June15. Abstracts submitted after June 1 will be considered, if venue space is available, beginning on or after June 15.The Scientific Committee is composed of scholars and practitioners from various academic and vocational areas, so we are expecting the conference to be broad in scope.
The theme of this year¡¯s conference is technology transfer from public organizations, which includes a wide range of institutions, including federal/national labs, universities, and other types of public or nonprofit research organizations.¡°Technology¡± being transferred from public organizations occurs not only through traditional mechanisms (e.g., patents, licenses, startups, and research partnerships), but also through publications, presentations, as well as through knowledge-embodied employees and students. Motivations for technology transfer range from established policy missions to achieving entrepreneurial objectives.
A website at NIST is in the process of being developed. It will include this CALL but also registration information and hotel accommodation information.
