'Social Foundations of Economic Development and Asia's Growth Experience '
A lecture by Kaushik Basu (World Bank Chief Economist)
Kaushik Basu is Senior Vice President for Development Economics and World Bank Chief Economist. He was until recently the Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India, at the Ministry of Finance-essentially the “Chief Economist” of the Government of India.
Mr. Basu is on leave from Cornell University where he is Professor of Economics and the C. Marks Professor of International Studies. He has served as Chairman of Cornell's Department of Economics and Director of Cornell's Center for Analytic Economics.
